The Gazebo

Some old power poles came together 20 years ago,
And spaced themselves 16 feet across from each other.
Then those 10 foot long poles stuck 3 feet into the dirt
and pointed the other 7 feet towards the blue skies!
Some additional work to build the top from lumber
and chicken wire...
and then the Carolina Jasmine was planted at every other pole.
Today she is alive and thriving, and providing
much needed shade in the exact middle of my garden and orchard.
An old park bench, and a plastic chair provide portable seating.

The top is still not completely covered.
